Khartoum Civic Map is a one-year project focused on creating an interactive map for emergency response rooms. The app collects data uploaded by hundreds of activists working to provide basic needs in war-torn Khartoum. I developed a backend script in Python that scrapes this data and passes it to a responsive JavaScript frontend. It was built using vanilla JavaScript without modern frameworks to ensure fast loading in areas with poor internet connectivity. Emergency rooms now use the tool to assist their work and also serve as a political statement. We are continuously developing it.
