This project explores the impact of the German occupation of Luf Island in Papua New Guinea from 1884 to 1914. Many indigenous inhabitants died during this time due to disease, flooding, and starvation. In 1881, the merchant company Hernsheim & Co established a trading station on the island, which led to a "punitive expedition" by German forces, resulting in the destruction of homes and boats and the death of several people. One boat built by the islanders was eventually sold to the Museum für Völkerkunde in Berlin. The project aims to speculate on how the design of carriers might have been influenced by the unique Luf boat design technique and inspiration, using speculative design methods and science fiction techniques. The project seeks to investigate these objects' role in the indigenous population's social development and to create new carrier designs with modern and futuristic features. Medium: 3D - Game design - computational Tools: Unity, Blender, Premiere, python, C++
